About

The diploma in Hospitality Management programme aims to equip learners with knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that will enable them to be confident and independent and to contribute responsibly in the economic reconstruction, development and growth, and to adapt to and survive in an economically complex world.

After three years of intensive training the qualified learner will be fully capable of functioning as a Hospitality Industry Manager and meet the high standards and the requirements set by the Hospitality industry and enable the learner to be in demand nationally and internationally.

Admission Requirements

NSC (Gr 12) with entrance to Diploma studies or National Certificate (Vocational) with the minimum requirements for entrance to Diploma studies, as specified by UMALUSI

Work Integrated Learning (WIL)

Year 1: 200 hours practical work experience.

Year 2: 400 hours practical work experience.

Year 3: 900 hours experiential learning in the industry during the last 6 months of the year.
